ComparisonA monday.com alternative that charges for the seats you use
monday.com sells seats in bundles, keeps time tracking for its Pro plan and sells its CRM as a separate product. OpSemble Projects is £9 per user with Gantt, time tracking and workload included, and CRM, HR and safety sit in the same platform.

What OpSemble gives you
Exact seat counts
Six people, six seats. No bundles to round up to.
Editable Gantt
Drag a task to reschedule it, resize it to change its dates, and set dependencies between tasks, right on the chart.
Time tracking included
Log time as billable or non-billable with per-person bill rates, then turn a project’s unbilled time into a draft invoice.
Workload that knows about leave
A week-by-week heatmap of who’s free, busy or over-allocated, net of approved leave from HR.
Portfolio view
Every project on one screen with a RAG health flag, budget against spend, hours and milestone slippage.
CRM in the same tenant
Pipelines, quotes and support cases on the same customer record as the project. A module, not a second product.
Switching from monday.com
Export the boards you still use
Take the active boards out of monday.com for reference. Archived work can stay archived.
Rebuild current work as projects
Start from a template, from one of your own projects, or describe the job in a few sentences and let the assistant draft the milestones and tasks for you to edit.
Run both for a fortnight
The trial is 14 days with no card. Keep monday.com running until the team has moved.
Time it to your renewal
monday.com’s lower prices are for annual billing. Plan the switch around your renewal date.

Is monday.com the wrong tool, or just the wrong shape?
monday.com is one of the best-looking, easiest-to-adopt work tools there is, and its integration marketplace is enormous. If projects are all you need and your team lands exactly on one of its bundles, Standard is hard to argue with: for ten people it’s £110 a month against £119 on OpSemble. We’d rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
monday.com’s pricing page quotes a price per seat, but seats come in bundles. The smallest paid plan is three seats, then five, ten, fifteen and up, so a six-person team buys ten. On Standard that’s £110 a month; on Pro, which is where time tracking lives, £170. The same six people on OpSemble Projects are £83, with time tracking, the Gantt and the workload view included.
The second thing people notice is the product line. monday CRM and monday service are separate products with their own plans, so a business that wants projects and a sales pipeline ends up with two subscriptions. In OpSemble, CRM is a module in the same tenant: the deal, the project and the invoice share one customer record.
And there are things monday.com doesn’t try to be. There’s no UK payroll, no RIDDOR-aware incident log and no ISO 9001 register. For businesses that need those, OpSemble’s HR, Health & Safety and Quality modules switch on alongside Projects, on the same bill.

Frequently asked questions
Is OpSemble cheaper than monday.com?
For projects alone, it depends on team size. At exactly ten people, monday.com Standard (£110/month, billed annually) is cheaper than OpSemble (£119). Between bundle sizes, or if you need time tracking, OpSemble usually comes out ahead: six people are £83 on OpSemble against £110 on Standard or £170 on Pro.
Can I bring my monday.com boards across?
Export your active boards for reference and rebuild current work as projects. The assistant can draft a project from a short description, and your best-run projects become templates. If you have a lot to move, email sales@opsemble.co.uk first.
Does OpSemble have automations?
Yes. Automation workflows are part of the core platform: triggers such as a record being created or a stage changing, branching, delays, and actions like email, task creation and webhooks.
Is there a free plan?
No. There’s a 14-day trial with no card. monday.com’s free plan, for up to two seats, may suit a very small team better.
Is there a minimum contract?
No. Subscriptions run monthly and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Early customers lock in their rate.
