In the real product you attach a YouTube or uploaded video, and the visual timeline editor works just like this.
Proof that follows the person
Certificates are generated on completion and land in the HR training record with expiry dates — so “is this person’s training current?” always has one answer.

Staff Training Software with Proof Built In
For most small businesses the training problem isn't delivering the course — it's proving it happened. The insurer, the auditor, the HSE inspector and the big customer's supplier questionnaire all ask the same thing: show me who's trained, on what, and when it expires.
OpSemble treats the evidence as the product. Courses end in a signature and a certificate. Video stop-points stop the play-it-in-another-tab problem. Completions sync to the HR record and the skills matrix, so "who's current on manual handling" is a report, not an email round. Induction training slots straight into onboarding, and refreshers reassign themselves when certificates near expiry.
At £6 per user/month it costs less than one external refresher course per person per year — and it's the module that turns your H&S and quality obligations into records you can actually produce.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do stop-point questions work in videos?
Video playback pauses at set points and asks a knowledge-check question. The learner must answer correctly to resume. This ensures people actively watch and understand, not just hit play. Answers are logged per person for compliance evidence.
Can I track compliance training completion?
Yes. Assign mandatory training to employees, teams or departments. The training dashboard shows completion rates, due dates and who is overdue. Training records link automatically to HR, and you can evidence 'staff trained on this procedure' for audits.
What about digital signatures on certificates?
Learners digitally sign their certificate on completion using a PIN or email verification. Signed certificates are timestamped and stored as audit evidence, and you can email them to the learner or manager automatically.
Can I create courses from scratch or just upload video?
Both. Upload a video (MP4, WebM, etc.), set your stop-point questions and completion rules. Or use a template-based course builder if you want structure with multiple sections and quizzes. Learners follow a linear or branching path based on their answers.
Do I need to host videos on an external service?
No. Upload videos directly to OpSemble. They're stored securely and only delivered to invited learners. No YouTube embeds or third-party exposure of your training content.
Can training be linked to H&S or QMS procedures?
Yes. Link a training course to a QMS procedure or H&S hazard. The system then tracks who is trained on that specific procedure or hazard, and flags if training is due for renewal.
How do I handle refresher and renewal training?
Set an expiry date on certificates. The system reminds learners and managers when refresher training is due. Rerun the course and a new certificate is issued with the updated expiry date.
