OpSemble PPE register with in-service, quarantined, expiring and overdue-inspection counts and items assigned to employees with expiry and next inspection dates

What you get

Issue by employee

Record what was issued to whom and when. The employee’s PPE is a list on their record, not a memory in the stores.

Inspection schedules

Set inspection intervals for the items that need them, such as harnesses, lanyards and RPE, and get reminded when they fall due.

Expiry dates

Every item with a shelf life carries its expiry, and the expiring list shows what needs replacing this month.

Categories and status

Filter the register by category and status to see what’s in date, what’s due and what’s withdrawn.

Automated reminders

The same automation that chases contractor certificates chases expiring PPE, so nobody has to remember.

Linked to assessments and incidents

Risk assessments record the PPE required; incidents record the PPE involved. The register closes the loop.

How it works

Add the item

Category, model, employee it was issued to, issue date, inspection interval, expiry.

Let the reminders run

Inspections and expiries appear on the expiring list and notify the owner ahead of time.

Inspect, replace, record

Update the item after inspection or replace it; the history stays on the employee’s record.

PPE tracking for small businesses

The Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations require employers to provide suitable PPE, maintain it, and make sure it’s used. For most small businesses the record of all that is a stores book and a supervisor’s memory, which is fine until a harness is found to be two years past its inspection date after a fall.

OpSemble’s PPE register is deliberately simple: what, to whom, when, when it’s next inspected, when it expires. The system does the remembering. Because the register sits inside Health & Safety, the PPE a risk assessment calls for and the PPE recorded on an incident are the same items, and the COSHH assessment that specifies gloves and RPE points at a register that says who has them.

It’s part of the Health & Safety module at £9 per user per month on top of a £29 platform fee, with a 14-day free trial and no card required.
